Privacy
Last updated October 2, 2026.
The short version: this site has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies. The only personal information it handles is the email address you give if you subscribe to the newsletter, and that goes to the newsletter service, not to this site.
Browsing the site
You can read every page without signing up or giving any information. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts.
Like nearly every website, the server that hosts this site and the network service in front of it (Cloudflare) keep standard request logs: IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser type. Those logs are used to keep the site running and to stop abuse. They are not used to build a profile of you, and they are not sold or shared.
Pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser also sends a request to Google when you visit. Google's privacy policy covers that request.
The newsletter
The newsletter is sent by Buttondown. When you subscribe, your email address goes directly to Buttondown, which stores it to send you the newsletter. Buttondown may also record whether an email was opened or a link in it clicked. Its privacy policy has the details.
Your address is used only to send the newsletter. It is never sold, rented or shared with anyone else. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away.
Buy Me a Coffee
If you choose to support the site, the payment is handled entirely by Buy Me a Coffee. This site never sees your card details. Buy Me a Coffee passes on only what you choose to show, such as a name and a message.
AI summaries
The bill summaries and the committee descriptions are written by an AI model from public documents: each bill's text, and the House and Senate rules that define each committee. Nothing about you or your visit is ever sent to the AI.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
